SitRep: Russian Space Program Advancing Strategic Goals.

Overview:


Russia plans to launch five remote sensing satellites by the end of 2024, according to Roscosmos Deputy General Director for Space Systems Mikhail Khailov[1]. These satellites include:


1. Resurs-P5

2. Two Aist satellites with stereoscopic equipment

3. Kondor-FKA2 radar satellite

4. Obzor-R1 multifunctional radar satellite


The Kondor-FKA2 satellite is expected to be shipped to a cosmodrome soon for its launch. These launches are part of a larger initiative to expand Russia's satellite constellation, which currently consists of over 240 satellites. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov stated that more than 100 satellites will be launched by the end of 2024[1].
