SitRep: Rasht-Caspian Railway Project Bolsters INSTC Route Through Iran.

The Rasht-Caspian Railway Project in Iran has been completed and was officially inaugurated on June 20, 2024. This 37-kilometer railway connects the city of Rasht to the Caspian Sea, specifically to the port of Bandar-e Anzali, completing the Qazvin-Rasht rail route. The inauguration ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials from Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan, including Iran’s acting president Mohammad Mokhber and other notable dignitaries[1][2][3].
