July 30, 2024: Israeli Airstrikes and Hezbollah's Retaliation
Israel conducted significant airstrikes in southern Lebanon, targeting various locations including Teir Harfa and Naqoura. These strikes resulted in the deaths of 16 individuals, comprising civilians, Hezbollah fighters, and members of the Amal Movement. Notably, seven members of a paramedic center associated with the Islamic Group, a Lebanese Sunni political and militant organization allied with Hezbollah, were killed in the village of Hebbariye (AP News, 2024).
In retaliation, Hezbollah launched approximately 30 rockets into northern Israel, targeting Kiryat Shmona and a military base. The attack resulted in the death of a 25-year-old man in an industrial park and injuries to another individual (AP News, 2024).
